Rites of passage are moments that mark a transition from one state or phase to another in
important milestones in our lives. Sometimes we choose them, like when we tie the knot.
Sometimes not, like when a loved one dies. Our daily life is full of rites of passage that we
are not aware of. Think of a graduation ceremony, or when the candles are blown out on a
